Stove Installation

We like to work in such a way that our customers are aware of the exact costs involved before they commit to purchasing a stove. This is why we offer a free survey.

During this survey we’ll take a look at your proposed installation site paying particular attention to the room size, fireplace and chimney stack.  Once we’ve established what your ideas and requirements are we can make an informed recommendation on type and size of appliance and what work is required to make your fireplace and chimney suitable for a stove.

Fireplaces

Through careful selection of an appliance and the use of surrounds, mantles, hearths and lintels you can achieve a focal point of the room.

From traditional to contemporary, we can offer you the best looking fireplaces on the market today. The most appealing focal point in any room must be the fireplace.  Be it an open fire, closed stove or roomheater, the leaping flames and glowing coals are the real heart of the home.

Floors and fires can supply complete fireplace design and construction, by sourcing materials such as Oak Hearth Beams etc.

In this image we present the Darwin Fireplace; it consists of a Black Limestone Hearth, French Oak Beam and Heat Resistant Plaster. We believe the Organic materials complement each other beautifully, which I’m sure you’ll agree.

Service and Maintenance

It is vital to maintain your stove as often as possible; it can be severely damage the components of the stove by not regularly emptying the ashpan and cleaning above the Baffle plate which can be located at the top within your stove.

Sweeping your chimney will help expand the lifespan of your stove, and increase will benefit the performance of your stove. Your chimney should be swept at least once a year, we offer this service, a general cost would be £120.

Chimney Rebuild and Repoint

A chimney is exposed to elements all year round, just like within your home the chimney needs maintaining.

We offer a Chimney repoint or if need be a full chimney rebuild. Floors and Fires have state of the art CCTV in order to spot any water leaks, loose brick etc.
